SD native Musgrove ready for Padres debut

Joe Musgrove — the kid who grew up going to games at Petco Park, idolizing Jake Peavy — will take the mound for the Padres for the first time on Saturday, as the right-hander faces the D-backs at 5:40 p.m. PT, live on MLB.TV. In his final spring start, Musgrove tossed five no-hit innings. He owns a 2.03 ERA in two career starts at Petco Park, both coming while he was with the Pirates, who traded him to the Padres in January. Left-hander Caleb Smith will start for Arizona.
