[Baseball] Warriors Fall to Top-Seeded Doane in Tourney Opener

CRETE, Neb. – Facing the regular-season conference champions, Midland University had its work cut out for them as they opened up the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Tournament on Friday against Doane University. The Warriors proved to be up for the task as they challenged the Tigers throughout, taking a late-game lead before falling 4-3. The loss sends Midland, the eight-seed in the GPAC Tourney, to an elimination game on Monday where they'll face Morningside University. The Mustangs fell to Jamestown (8-2) in the other opening day game in Crete.
