CSI EARNS THREE ACADEMIC TEAM EXCELLENCE AWARDS W/ 70 STUDENT ATHLETES SELECTED TO THE COMMISSIONER'S HONOR ROLL FOR THE 2020-21 ECC SEASON

Last week, the East Coast Conference (ECC) officially announced the 2020-21 Academic Team of Excellence Award winners along with their Commissioner's Honor Roll recipients. For the academic team of excellence award, teams must achieve a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, while recipients of the Commissioner's Honor Roll must achieve a 3.25 or higher individually. In their first official year in the conference, the College of Staten Island saw three teams win the academic team award, the second most behind Molloy College, who had seven teams. CSI also saw 70 student athletes named to the Commissioner's Honor Roll. Our Associate AD & Compliance Officer, Erin Van Nostrand, who was responsible for reporting the GPA's to the conference added, "It's a testament to our student athletes, coaches, and staff; especially with most teams not being able to compete. They were able to have success in the classroom as a team and it shows we are heading in the right direction as a Division II program."
