Gonzales Graces Preseason Payton Award Watch List

Cullowhee, N.C. – Western Carolina's Cole Gonzales, a first-team preseason All-Southern Conference selection and dubbed the league's preseason Offensive Player of the Year, was today among 35 standouts nationwide to be listed on the preseason watch list for the 2024 Walter Payton Award by Stats Perform. The Payton Award is presented annually to the national offensive player of the year in the NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS).
