Hayden Scudder Announced as Finalist for MEC Male Scholar Athlete of the Year Award

Bridgeport, W. Va. – On Thursday, the Mountain East Conference (MEC) announced the 22 finalists for the Male and Female Scholar Athlete of the Year Award. The award is given out annually to one MEC athlete who exemplifies excellence both on the field and in the classroom, holding the same criteria as Academic All-American Awards. Wheeling University Baseball player Hayden Scudder has been announced as Wheeling's finalist for the Male Scholar Athlete of the Year Award after having a breakout season on the field and continuing his strong work in the classroom.
