#22 Knights Complete Sweep Over Night Hawks

THOMASVILLE, Ga. – Tuesday evening did not provide many pleasantries for the Thomas University baseball team, as #22 Middle Georgia State's bats were flying throughout the contest, defeating the Night Hawks 22-1 at Varnedoe Stadium.

TU (0-3) could not catch any breaks throughout the game, as MGA's (3-0) pitching limited the Hunter Green & White to two team hits.  Knights' Pitcher Braden Jackson (1-0) allowed one hit while recording six strikeouts.

The Night Hawks' pitching staff had a tough time at the mound, as TU went through six different pitchers in seven innings.  Redshirt Sophomore Pitcher Paul Haskew (0-1) was pulled after two innings, allowing four runs off three hits with four errors.

Redshirt Sophomore Anthony Dorak's sacrifice RBI grounder in the sixth inning brought home Thomas' only run of the game.

Thomas is back in action in action this weekend with a four-game weekend series against Shawnee State.  This will be the first-ever meeting between the two NAIA clubs.  First pitch is scheduled for Friday at 4 p.m.
