Allen joins Bluefield Ridge Runners staff

BLUEFIELD – The Bluefield Ridge Runners announce Bluefield University assistant coach Chris Allen is returning to the staff for his second season. Chris Allen was born in in Newport, Ore., and is a native of San Diego, Calif., where he played at West Hills High School. He was a two time First Team All-Conference player while at West Hills. From West Hills. He went on to play at Southwestern College in Chula Vista, Calif., where he was named First Team All PCAC, All State Honorable Mention, team MVP and held the highest team batting average, stolen bases and doubles during his time at SWC. Allen was also a player/coach for the San Diego Stars in the National Baseball Congress Summer League from 2009-2016, where he was mentored by the late great NBC Hall of Fame Coach Mickey Duetschman.
