Archer, Seidel Homer Again As Falcons Fall Short In Sunday Rubber Match

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University baseball team concluded the weekend series against the Ball State Cardinals on Sunday (April 30). After a brief 15-minute delay to the start of the game due to rain earlier in the day, the game got underway. A five-run second inning jump started the Ball State offense. The Falcons chipped away with three runs in the bottom of the inning, including Nathan Archer's fourth home run of the weekend, to make it a 5-3 score. Each team added a solo home run later in the game, BSU's coming in the seventh and BGSU's in the eighth off the bat of Sam Seidel, for the 6-4 final. The loss puts Bowling Green at 15-25 on the season while being 9-15 within the Mid-American Conference.
