BASE | Dons Clipped by Gonzaga in Series Opener

The University of San Francisco baseball team jumped out to an early lead in Friday's pivotal West Coast Conference opener at first-place and nationally ranked Gonzaga, but missed opportunities by the Dons and opportunities capitalized on by the Bulldogs led to a narrow 3-2 victory by the host Bulldogs at Patterson Baseball Complex.
