[Baseball] #18 Lions Baseball Starts Season with Four Straight Wins!

DAYTON, Tenn. – Last week, independent member Talladega College (Ala.) and River States Conference foe University of Rio Grande (Ohio) made their way to the campus of Bryan College with the same hopes: upset the Lions who enter this year ranked #18 in the country. At the end of the two days, both the Talladega Tornadoes and Rio RedStorm each had two looks at Bryan, but the home team showed signs that another impressive season could be in store. Through the first three games of the weekend, Bryan outscored their opponents 19-4 before sealing the season-opening pair of sweeps in a final 7-6 decision to improve to 4-4 overall. Rio took to the field receiving votes in the preseason poll, but the duo of Bryan and Talladega left the RedStorm whirling to a 0-4 start. The Tornadoes wreaked havoc on the RedStorm 12-3 and 10-6, moving their overall mark to an even 2-2.
