[Baseball] Baseball Falcons secure berth in upcoming KCAC Postseason Tournament

WICHITA, Kan. – The Friends University Baseball Falcons have punched their ticket to the KCAC Postseason Tournament, set to begin this Wednesday (May 3) in Great Bend, Kan.The Falcons' big 19-9 victory yesterday (Apr. 29) in the opening game vs. Tabor College combined with the McPherson College Bulldogs weekend sweep of the York College Panthers was enough to clinch the sixth spot in the tourney for Friends."It's been an up and down regular season but our No. 1 goal every year is to get to postseason play," said Friends baseball coach Adam Neisius. "We're proud of the guys, they've been grinding since last September and they did enough to get to Great Bend."The opening postseason matchup for the Falcons will be a rematch from this past weekend against third-seeded Tabor College. First pitch is scheduled for 3 pm on Wednesday.  A win over the Bluejays would move the Falcons into a winner's bracket game Thursday at 11 am vs. second-seeded McPherson."The postseason is a whole new ballgame," said Neisius. "It doesn't matter what we've done in the past, all that matters is what we do now."Official KCAC Baseball Postseason Tournament Bracket
