[Baseball] Baseball Splits on First Day of Weekend Series with #1 Tennessee Wesleyan

Emerson, Ga. — The Skyhawks went head to head with the defending National Champions and top ranked team in the nation, Tennessee Wesleyan, on Friday in an AAC Conference match-up. Point would earn a split of the double header, beating the Bulldogs in the first game by a score of 7-6 after a late two run homerun by Bo McClintock (SR/Beavercreek, Or.) which gave the Skyhawks a big enough lead to hold off TWU in the 9th. In game 2 the Skyhawks were held to only 3 hits in a shutout by the Bulldogs' ace to give the Bulldogs a 10-0 victory over Point. The split will move the Skyhawks record to 12-3 overall and 4-1 in AAC play this season.
