Baseball Captures First Centennial Tournament Berth Since 2012 As Morrissey Fires Complete-Game Shutout Against Dickinson In Opener

CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Washington College freshman sensation Joe Morrissey fired a nine-inning, complete-game shutout against the Dickinson Red Devils, helping lead the host Shoremen to a Centennial Conference Tournament berth for the first time since 2012.  The hosts took the opener 6-0 and fell in the nightcap by a 15-3 margin. The Shoremen are now 24-15 overall and finished the regular-season with a 10-8 conference mark. The Maroon & White will be the No. 3 seed in the four-team event that gets underway on Thursday afternoon.
