Baseball Defeats Westminster in Pod 1 Championship Game, Advances to SLIAC Championship Series Against Spalding

O'FALLON, Mo. – Webster University moved another step closer to a St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Baseball Tournament three-peat here Saturday afternoon as they used a complete game pitching performance from second-year freshman Jordan Smevoll (Dyer, Ind./Marian Catholic) and school record tying three doubles from fifth-year senior All-American first baseman Kyler Kent (Pottsboro, Texas/Pottsboro) in its 4-1 win over fourth-seeded Westminster College in the final of Pod 1 of the 2021 SLIAC Tournament at CarShield Field.
