[Baseball] Eagles finish series sweep of Rio
Rio Grande Sports Information MIDWAY, Ky. – After suffering a walk-off loss in Friday's series opener against Midway, the University of Rio Grande was looking for an outcome that featured a little more positivity on Saturday. Unfortunately, that kind of finish was nowhere to be found. The host Eagles recorded another walk-off win in game and then finished a sweep of the twinbill – and the series – with a game two victory in River States Conference baseball action at Tracy Farmer-Don Ball Stadium and Dick Robinson Field. Midway got the sweep by scores of 14-13 and 6-1. The back end of the doubleheader was halted after five innings due to darkness. The Eagles pushed their record to 5-12 overall and 3-0 in league play. The RedStorm dropped to 8-14 overall and 0-3 in the RSC as their losing streak reached five straight games.
