[Baseball] Eagles soar past Rio in RSC opener

Rio Grande Sports Information    MIDWAY, Ky. – Midway University parlayed a first inning lead and a strong pitching performance by Andy Melgoza into a 7-1 win over the University of Rio Grande, Saturday afternoon, in River States Conference baseball action in the inaugural game at Farmer-Ball Stadium.    The Eagles improved to 5-10 overall and 1-0 in conference play with the win – a successful christening of their new on-campus facility.    Rio Grande fell to 0-16 overall and 0-1 in the RSC.
