Baseball Edged In Doubleheader Sweep To WPI

NORTHBORO, Mass. – The Emerson baseball team suffered a series sweep on Saturday afternoon at the hands of the WPI Engineers in NEWMAC baseball action. Joe Colucci put up a 4-for-4 day at the plate in game one before seeing their comeback fall short in an 8-7 setback against the Engineers. In game two, Emerson carried its lead into the eighth frame before the Lions surrendered a pair of runs to fall 4-3.
