Baseball Embraces Team-First Mentality in 2020 Campaign

LAKELAND, Fla.- On the week when the 2020 Avista-NAIA Baseball World Series was set to take place in Lewiston, Idaho, the Southeastern University baseball team is instead scattered across the country, putting in individual offseason work, and looking ahead to next season. The COVID-19 pandemic severely shortened what was a promising campaign for the Fire, who finished the year at 26-1 and ranked No. 1 in the NAIA Top 25 Coaches' Poll. However, despite things going so contrary to what was expected, there is still much to celebrate in what the Fire accomplished on and off the field in 2020.
