Baseball Falls 9-8 to Mercer in Back-and-Forth Battle

It was a race against weather Saturday afternoon in Macon, Georgia, as Wofford and Mercer looked to play a twin bill at OrthoGeorgia Park. After the Bears secured a walk-off victory, 9-8, in a hard-fought game one, Wofford led game two 5-1 in the second and was threatening for more damage before the rain began and refused to relent. With the contest rained out, the teams split two games over the weekend with Wofford dropping to 26-11 (7-4 SoCon) as Mercer improves to 20-17 (4-7 SoCon).
