Baseball Opens GLIAC Slate with Sweep of Davenport

HAMMOND, Ind. — Facing Davenport (6-17 overall, 0-2 GLIAC) to open GLIAC play on Saturday, the Wayne State University baseball team (13-6 overall, 2-0 GLIAC) picked up right where it left off from a season ago. The Warriors swept the Panthers thanks to scores of 12-0 and 6-2 with a doubleheader at Purdue Northwest (1 p.m. eastern) coming up on Sunday.
