[Baseball] RedHawks Sweep Stillman at Home

PULASKI, Tenn. – The Martin Methodist Baseball team stayed hot in SSAC play as it picked up its second sweep in as many weekends with three victories versus Stillman (Ala.) this weekend at Bobby Walker Field.In Friday's seven-inning opener, Martin Methodist broke the game open in the late innings en route to an 8-4 victory. The nightcap proved to be less dramatic as Martin Methodist cranked out 17 hits in a mercy-rule shortened 17-6 victory.Due to anticipated inclement weather, Saturday's finale was moved to a 9 a.m. start time, but the early start did not slow down the RedHawks (21-13, 9-6 SSAC) as they defeated Stillman, 15-8, to complete the sweep.The wins pushed the RedHawks to six straight conference victories – the second-longest active conference win streak in the SSAC.The RedHawks return to action Monday, April 1, when they host No. 4 nationally-ranked Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.). First pitch is set for 3 p.m. at Bobby Walker Field.
