Baseball Returns to SoCon Play with Series at Mercer

After a quick stop at home for a midweek victory over Presbyterian, 24-3 in seven innings, the Terriers hit the road again for a three-game set at Mercer to return to SoCon action. Wofford is 25-10 on the season after that run-rule triumph over the Blue Hose, adn the Terriers are 6-3 in SoCon play, last taking two-of-three from UNCG two weekends ago. Mercer is 19-16 on the season and 3-6 in conference play after dropping two-of-three against VMI last weekend. But the Bears are fresh off a 13-6 upset of No. 8 Florida State on Tuesday. In a series dating back to 1905, Mercer holds a 29-20 all-time lead over Wofford. The Bears swept the regular season series in Spartanburg last season, but Wofford exacted revenge in the SoCon Tournament with a 16-14 win.
