Baseball Takes Opening Day Over Salem, Wins 10-3

CHARLESTON, W. Va. – The University of Charleston baseball team opened the 2021 season with a 10-3 victory over Salem University on Tuesday afternoon at Segra Field at the Welch Athletic Complex. Robert Fultineer logged 6.0 scoreless innings in his Opening Day start, while Seth Nightingale (0.2 IP) and Jacob Kaiser (2.1 IP) rounded out the pitching duties. The Golden Eagles powered for three home runs, one each by Tyler Dellerman, James Heavilin, and Braxton Boddorf. Tuesday marked the third straight win for the Golden Eagles on Opening Day.
