Baseball's Henderson Signs with Cincinnati

Bakersfield, Calif. – CSU Bakersfield Junior Damian Henderson agreed to terms on a professional contract with the Cincinnati Reds on Friday afternoon, and will become the 23rd Roadrunner baseball player to sign with a Major League Baseball organization over the program's 12 year history. Henderson was enjoying a breakout season at the plate, when the 2020 campaign was cut short due to concerns surrounding the COVID-19 Pandemic. He recorded at least one hit in 12 of the team's 14 games, hitting .321 and leading CSUB in hits (17), extra-base hits (5), on-base percentage (.446), slugging-percentage (.528) and runs batted in (10).
