Eidson and Osbolt Sweep Weekly ASUN Honors

ATLANTA – Brayden Eidson and Braden Osbolt earned Atlantic Sun Conference weekly honors following Kennesaw State's three victories in four games this week including two over No. 25 Kentucky, the league office announced Monday afternoon.

Eidson secured ASUN Player of the Week following eight hits and a .500 batting average this week, including two multi-hit games. The senior posted a four-hit game with five RBI at Belmont and one walk – reaching base in every plate appearance and propelling KSU to a 15-2 win. Saturday at Kentucky he tallied two hits, two RBI and one run scored, helping the Owls secure the series victory.

The McDonough, Ga. native is batting .408 with a 3.86 ERA in his fifth season with the Black and Gold.

ASUN Pitcher of the Week Osbolt (2-0) pitched seven innings of one-run ball in the series opener against the No. 25 Wildcats Friday, striking out eight batters for his second win on the mound this season. Kennesaw State set the tone for that series, crushing the SEC foe, 13-1. His other victory came on Feb. 23 at No. 10 Clemson.

The sophomore has a 3.57 ERA this season.
