EMU Program Check-In: Baseball

The EMU Royals baseball team spent their fall season fine-tuning their skills and ending it in competitive fashion.

The Royals are used to a fall of strict practicing, with intrasquads thrown in the mix to keep the players sharp in game scenarios. In adherence to COVID-19 guidelines, the team was limited on the amount of competition that was allowed, but culminated a best-of-five black and blue world series to finish off the fall.

The team's 2020 season was cut short just about halfway through. At the time of cancellation, the Royals were 11-8 after coming off of a win at Averett University. The team was bolstering an impressive 5-2 record at home.

Head coach Adam Posey feels confident about the team coming off of the momentum from last season.
