Falcons Sweep Saturday Doubleheader To Take Weekend Series From EMU

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University baseball team swept a doubleheader against Eastern Michigan on Saturday (April 15) at Steller Field to take the weekend series. Winning two of three against the Eagles, BGSU tallied the program's first series win over EMU since 2005. The bats were on fire all day for the Falcons, putting up 24 runs across the two games. Kyle Gurney, Nathan Archer and DJ Newman all went yard for the Orange and Brown while Nathan Rose tallied three doubles over the two games. The pair of victories moves BGSU to 13-19 on the season and 8-10 within the MAC, sitting in sixth place in the conference standings. The next two MAC series for BGSU will be against Western Michigan, currently fifth, and Ball State, currently third.
