Fiers tabbed for series opener against Halos

Mike Fiers will take the mound at the Coliseum on Friday as the A's open a three-game series against the Angels at 6:40 p.m. PT, live on MLB.TV. Oakland is 4-1 in games started by Fiers (2-1, 5.96 ERA) this season. The right-hander is coming off one of his best starts of the year, in which he allowed two runs in six innings in a win over the Giants. Lefty Andrew Heaney (1-1, 4.74) will start for the Halos.
