Griffins Hail to Saints in First Two of AEC Series

Tysons, Va. – (4/13/2024) – Gwynedd Mercy University (8-17, 2-6) traveled to Capital One Park in Tysons, Virginia to face Marymount University for the first two games of their Atlantic East Conference (AEC) series with the Saints. Sophomore catcher Mike Storti (Philadelphia, Pa.) knocked in the only Griffin run of the opener with his fourth-inning single to left field, while a sacrifice fly freshman shortstop Drew Haines (Hammonton, N.J.) and a walk to senior left fielder Nick Price (Levittown, Pa.) plated the two Red and Gold runs in the fourth inning of game two. Unfortunately, Gwynedd Mercy University lost both league games to Marymount University; 4-1 and 7-2.
