J'Raan Brooks Earns Academic All-District Distinction

UC San Diego men's' basketball senior J'Raan Brooks earned accolades for his hard work both in the classroom and on the court, being named to the Academic All-District Team as announced by College Sports Communicators (CSC) on Tuesday. Brooks will now move on to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot.
 
J'Raan Brooks (Seattle, Wash.) is an ethnic studies major with a minor in communications, posting a 3.54 grade point average. On the court, Brooks started all 41 games in which he played at UC San Diego, averaging 5.5 points and nearly four rebounds per game as a senior. This past season, Brooks shot 45% overall and 40% from beyond the three-point arc.
