Kelly, Hogland to compete in Tokyo Olympics

DAVIS, Calif. — Former UC Davis men's basketball player Hugh Hogland and baseball player Ty Kelly will represent Japan and Israel, respectively, during the 2021 Olympic Games in Tokyo. Hogland has dual citizenship with the host country through his mother, Sanae Watanabe. Kelly is a Jewish American who obtained Israeli citizenship prior to the 2019 European Baseball Championship.
