Lamet looks to stay stingy vs. Seattle

The beginning of Dinelson Lamet's transition into a dominant, ace-caliber starter can probably be traced to an outing last August at Seattle. The right-hander struck out 12 Mariners and allowed only two hits over seven brilliant innings. Lamet (2-1, 1.89 ERA) faces the Mariners again on Wednesday, with first pitch slated for 6:10 p.m. PT at Petco Park. (Available on MLB.TV.) Seattle counters with right-hander Taijuan Walker (2-2, 4.00 ERA).
