Late Rally Lets Profs Past Griffins

Glassboro, N.J. – (4/4/2023) – Gwynedd Mercy University (11-11) let Rowan University (14-6) slip through their fingers as the Profs used a eight-run eighth inning to overcome an 11-6 Griffin advantage. The Griffins loaded the bases and brought home four runs in their first at-bat of the contest. A sacrifice fly from graduate Billy Collins (Hatfield, Pa.) in the second inning and another four-run at-bat in the third inning gave the Griffins a 9-0 head start. Unfortunately, the Profs outscored Gwynedd Mercy University 14-3 the rest if way in an 14-12 conclusion.
