Limestone Baseball Honors Seniors, Splits with Catawba

GAFFNEY, S.C. – Limestone would celebrate their seniors prior to game one and then proceed to win the game for the seniors 13-5. Sophomore Marty Neal (Dumfries, Va.) pitched five strong innings to pick up his fifth win of the season, and freshmen outfielder Adams Faucett (Spartanburg, S.C.) helped provide an offensive spark with four RBI. In the second game, the Saints secured an early lead with a nine-run first inning with freshmen outfielder Gavin Troyer (Powdersville, S.C.) and junior catcher Davis Turner (Mooresville, N.C.) providing a homerun. However, the Blue and Gold could not hang on to the lead as Catawba would slowly chip away and finally take the lead and the win in game two, 12-10.
