Lumberjacks Construct Four-Run 6th Inning to Best Mavericks, 5-2

ARLINGTON, Texas — The Lumberjacks (2-0) captured its first win of a three-game series with the UT Arlington Mavericks out of the Sun Belt Conference Friday night, with a final score of 5-2. The Mavericks strung together a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the 3rd built by a combination of a Lumberjacks throwing error, ground out and wild pitch, but Head Coach Johnny Cardenas and company displayed resilience by holding the Mavericks to only two runs on two hits with 11 runners stranded, and handed UT Arlington (1-2) its second loss of the season.
