Men's Basketball picked to finish second, Shivers and Bradford selected on Preseason All-Conference Team

BIRMINGHAM, AL. – Texas Southern, under the direction of third-year head coach Johnny Jones, was selected to finish first in the Southwestern Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Preseason Poll. The preseason poll and teams were voted upon by league head coaches and sports information directors.
