Minnesota Crookston Baseball Earns Saturday Sweep Against Winona State to Open NSIC Play

WINONA, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Crookston team picked up a doubleheader sweep of Winona State University to open up Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) play Saturday, March 20 at Loughrey Field in Winona, Minn. The Golden Eagles picked up a 10-0 shutout victory in the first game and used a Will Zimmerman (R-Sr., OF/SS, Park River, N.D.) bases-clearing double in the ninth inning to aid a 12-11 win in the second tilt.
