Mont Alto Holds Falcons Down in Non-Conference Action

The Messiah baseball team struggled to get the offense going in a 5-3 setback against the Penn State Mont Alto Nittany Lions on a chilly and breezy Tuesday afternoon. The Falcons were first on the board in the bottom of the second, but Nittany Lions scored five-straight runs between the third and seventh innings to take a 5-1 lead. Two Messiah runs in the bottom of the seventh brought the Falcons within two at 5-3, but Messiah left three runners on base in the eighth and ninth and fell by the 5-3 final.
