Nevada places 84 athletes on 2020 spring All-Mountain West academic team

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – A Mountain West record 1,130 student-athletes have been named to the spring 2020 Academic All-Mountain West team, the Conference announced today. Spring sports include baseball, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's golf, softball, women's swimming and diving, men's and women's tennis and men's and women's indoor and outdoor track and field.  
 
To be eligible for selection, student-athletes must have completed at least one academic term at the member institution while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better, and be a starter or significant contributor on their athletic team.
 
The University of Nevada had 84 represented on the 2020 team, last season the Wolf Pack had 86 on the 2019 spring team.  
 
Women's swimming & diving led Nevada with 20 selections followed by women's track & field with 18 and baseball had 10 honorees.  Softball and women's tennis were represented by eight athletes each with women's basketball having seven on the team.  Women's golf had five selections while men's golf and men's tennis had three each.  Men's basketball had two honorees.
