Nick Rutkowski Named GLIAC Pitcher of the Week

Grand Valley State senior RHP Nick Rutkowski was named the GLIAC Pitcher of the Week it was announced by league office Sault Ste. Marie, Mich. Rutkowski tossed 8.2 innings of shutout baseball en route to improving his season record to 5-2. He allowed six hits and struck out five as the Lakers claimed a 3-0 win over Purdue Northwest. Rutkowski, who leads the GLIAC in ERA (2.29), moved into fifth in career wins (19) and fourth in career innings pitched (255.0).
