No. 3 Baseball Unable to Hold Late Lead; Fall In Centennial Conference First Round Against No. 2 Franklin & Marshall, 7-5

Lancaster, PA – The No. 3 seeded Washington College baseball team dropped a 7-5 decision against the No. 2 seeded Franklin & Marshall Diplomats in the first round of the 2022 Centennial Conference Tournament on Thursday afternoon at Caplan Field. The Shoremen, who led 5-1 in the seventh inning, will next take on No. 4 seeded Johns Hopkins in the loser’s bracket contest on Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m. in Swarthmore, Pennsylvania. The Shoremen drop to 25-17 while the hosts improve to 25-15.
