On This Date: Duke Advances to Elite Eight with 3-1 Win at Virginia

On November 18, 2012 the 15th-ranked Duke women's soccer team upset second-ranked Virginia, 3-1, to advance to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament. Duke redshirt junior Kim DeCesare helped lead the Blue Devils to their fourth Elite Eight appearance in the previous six years with two goals in the match.
