Orbin and Munz Pitch Baseball to Doubleheader Sweep of Bethany in Home Finale
BEAVER FALLS, Pa. – The Geneva College baseball team has seen some ups and downs this year, but the Golden Tornadoes are finishing the year well, highlighted by a doubleheader sweep of Bethany on Thursday afternoon in the final home date of the season. Geneva got a sparkling starting pitching outing in game one from junior Jarrett Orbin (New Springfield, Ohio/Springfield), with Orbin striking out 15 Bison on the way to an 8-1 victory. Junior Timothy Munz (Euclid, Ohio/Lake Catholic) followed with another strong pitching outing in game two, leading the Golden Tornadoes to a 6-4 win. Geneva has now won three straight games in improving its record to 12-27, 8-18 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC).
