Paddack looking to get on track vs. Rangers

The Padres gave Chris Paddack an extra day of rest after he was hit hard at Dodger Stadium his last time out. Prior to this season, he'd never pitched on normal rest. But Paddack had done that in each of his past three outings, and it may have been a factor in the serious dip in his fastball effectiveness. Paddack takes the ball opposite Rangers right-hander Lance Lynn as the series shifts to Petco Park for two games, beginning Wednesday at 6:10 p.m. PT. Watch the action live on MLB.TV.
