Panthers Stage Furious Rally in 12-7 Extra-Inning Loss to Savannah State

ORANGEBURG, SC – The Claflin Panthers (1-17) gave one of their best efforts of the season in a hard-fought 12-7 extra-inning loss to the Savannah State Tigers (12-2), Tuesday afternoon. After taking a 6-7 deficit into the ninth inning, Claflin junior left fielder Micah Shivers scored on a Savannah State fielding error to tie the game and sent it into extra innings. However, the team allowed five unanswered 10th-inning runs to the Tigers to take the heartbreaking loss.
