Red and Gold Wrap Up Season Series With Mighty Macs

Immaculata, Pa. (4/20/2024) – Gwynedd Mercy University (9-22, 2-9 AEC) traveled to Immaculata University (20-12, 9-3 AEC) as the Griffins looked for revenge after their 7-0 loss at Frank O. Genuardi Legends Field on Friday (Apr. 20) The Mighty Macs continued to prove to the Griffin faithful why they are back-to-back Atlantic East Conference (AEC) champions as the Red and Gold lost game one 8-0 and game two 13-2 sweeping the Griffins in the season series. Gwynedd Mercy's offense was completely shut down in the weekend series being outscored 28-2 and outhit 33-15. Both senior infielder Nick Price (Levittown, Pa.) and junior pitcher Cooper Root (Runnemede, N.J.) tallied the only runs-batted-in (RBI) for the Griffins this series.
