LOWELL, Mass. – Performing at your highest level in any given sport can be a full-time focus. Sometimes, college athletes can feel pressured to put their sport first, and by doing so, may not pursue the major that they are truly most passionate about. At UMass Lowell, however, the athletic department prides itself equally on its competitive and academic successes, striving to create an environment where student-athletes feel supported in choosing any field of study that the university offers.
