LOWELL, Mass. – Sophomore Michael Simes (Rutland, Mass.) was lights out on the mound for the UMass Lowell baseball team (18-21, 8-7 AE), throwing a complete game shutout for a 2-0 game one win against the UMBC Retrievers (17-18, 7-6 AE) on Friday afternoon.
