Rodriguez Pitches Shutout in First Win Over Northland; 7th Inning Offensive Explosion Leads to 6-0 Win in Game 2

Roseville, MN —  After many schedule adjustments, the North Central University (NCU) baseball team finally kicked off their season series with the Northland College (NC) Lumberjacks in a doubleheader this misty Monday afternoon. Game one would not feature a whole lot of offense as there would be just 7 hits the entire game. However, a lone NCU run in the fourth inning would be good enough to give them the 1-0. Senior Christian Rodriguez pitched another fabulous complete game, totaling 11 strikeouts and giving up 0 runs. Game two would feature much of the same until the Rams' offense came alive in the seventh inning to score 6 runs and they would end up winning 6-0.
