Shafer Tosses Gem As UNCW Powers Past Elon

Four solo home runs, including two by Tanner Thach, backed seven strong innings by UNCW starter Jacob Shafer as the Seahawks earned a Coastal Athletic Association series win on Saturday with a 5-3 win over Elon at Brooks Field.
